Time to do this blog thing again...

Life has been hectic over the last few months. There are several changes that have taken place and more to come. Some will be announced starting in August so keep checking back. I promise I will do better and keeping this blog updated. No more 4 month hiatus. So over the last few months here is what has been happening with FootSteps.

March
Bellies, Valentines day, and Easter is what was happening here are a few from then.

In April for my birthdayI got a new baby. Here is what she looks like. Such a beauty. This is such a huge improvement over my last DSLR. This camera ROCKS. Here is a little about it because there is too much to list.
- full frame sensor
- 21.1 megapixel digital SLR camera
- Live View shooting, Live View HD videos at 1080p, and more
- Great color reproduction
April was a busy month as well with school ending and PCS season starting. It was also my daughter's 2nd birthday. Happy Birthday Baby Girl. The Diaper cake she is sitting next to is made by Dharla's Boutique. More to come on that later.

Now a few more from April. April showers bring May flowers but for photos it also means uncertainty when shooting. Any minute it might start poring down rain. And it did once. There were still several beautiful images captured before the downpour started. Just so happens to be the first full shoot with the MarkII.

Then there was the most beautiful baby boy ever. He is so cute and one of the best babies i have ever had the joy to photograph. He slept when he needed to and was awake when he needed to be. It was hard to just pick one since I have so many favorites from this session.

Later in the month was friends of mine who wanted to capture the whole family before daddy got deployed. It was also babies first beach trip. Again, so many to choose from but this time one the daddy daughter relationship.

Last but not least, and not in any order either, is a friend of mine that came over to pose for me as I worked with new lighting techniques

May was a short month for me. During most of May and part of June my family went home to the states for two graduations, family visits, and of course shopping. Okinawa is beautiful but I do miss the shopping like Target, Wal-Mart and all the many others.

First was the Footes who you might recognize from previous posts. This time with a new addition to the family. I really admire her she is an amazing women. I hope we get to meet again at another base. We will miss all of you.

Also come a baby on-the-way shoot. Congratulations! The wind could not have been blowing much harder without a Typhoon on island. Still glowing.

Then off to the states. Not sure exactly what mountain top this was but I think it was Mt Rainer outside of the Seattle area. Anyone recognize it please tell me if that is right.

Family photos are not finished editing yet. More later on that.

June back home to rain rain and more rain on Okinawa. It seemed like it would never stop raining.

The rain canceled the first appointment for this family but the afternoon cleared up. We headed to the beach. Then it started raining again. It rained on and off throughout but we all had fun with the rain. I think she had the most fun out of all of them, playing the the umbrella, puddles, and running across the beach.
Don't you just love those Jerseys. The family had them made specially for there family photographs. This is just the back of them but the front has there last name on it, which just happens to be a Florida team name. It was such a beautiful day we could not have asked for a more perfect day for portraits.

Little S brought this pink and brown tutu to life with her coordinating top and such a sweet little face.
Yummy. One of my favorite subjects to photograph is sweet 6 month olds just like Little Grace. They are so easy to work with. It is also fun to see there first experience on the beach as well. Sand sure is yummy that it is worth going back for seconds and thirds.

Now I know why I have not blogged much lately. The internet connection here is so horrible that this short update has taken 2 days to just write and post photos on. That is when they did not time out or have errors.
