Family in the Gardens- FootSteps Photography Okinawa
Lately it seems like weekends on Okinawa seem to have rain. After a late start the rain held off long enough for this beautiful families shoot.

Maternity Sneak peek - FootSteps Photography Okinawa
Just a quick sneak peek for you before getting back to work on them. She is just just glowing. I can't wait til I get to meet that little boy of yours. next month.
Trash the Dress - FootSteps Photography Okinawa
Trash The Dress is about trashing or otherwise having fun in a wedding dress or a formal ball gown in a unexpected location. These were all taken in grungy locations no formal gown would normally go to give contrast between the beauty and the grunge. What a great way to trash your dress from this seasons ball or holiday party.
A good friend of mine, Vanessa from Charming Memories, and I went out with Julienne to trash this dress and have a great time doing it. I look forward to the next time I get to work with these fantastic ladies.
Smash that cake.... FootSteps Photography Okinawa
Baby D turned 1 year old last week. Awww it is hard to believe that it has already been a year since I went to his home to photograph him after his birth. He was and still is such a cutie. Now beginning to be a little man.
Then.
Then.
Now.
He had a lot of fun with the cake his mommy made just for him. It was gone in no time.
Then it was off to the castle ruins for some outside fun with him and his parents.
The fabric that is in the bucket with Birthday boy D is straight from this website. www.shopthedew.com She is located on Okinawa and has several cute fabrics and patterns available. The best part is you can touch, feel, and coordinate the fabrics in person instead of depending on the colors online to match. She currently carries Michael Miller fabrics , Robert Kaufman fabrics, etc. and Amy Butler patterns, Bananafana patterns, ModKid patterns, Pink Fig patterns.
A great beach close to home - FootSteps Photography Okinawa
This beach has to be one of the best beaches for families with small children. Beach, rocks, grass, beautiful views and even a small park. Also for this family it is almost out their backdoor from their house.
Beautiful colors were abound today during the shoot. I decided to play around a little with an old-school method I learned during film development classes in collage with this one only with digital methods.
Just the kids this time - FootSteps Photography Okinawa
Get ready for a bit of an overload on blog posts as I have been busy busy busy and neglected updating the blog.
Here are a few of just this families two cute, silly and very active kids. It made for one tiring photo shoot keeping up with these two. As once down by the water I don't think anyone get to stay dry. A wave came up and I was wet up to my shoulders. It could be that I was lying down in the sand at the time.
Having a laugh together
I loved the dark stormy clouds off in the distance with the white wave froth and blue green ocean in front.

HUGE Holiday sale - FootSteps Photography Okinawa
I absolutely LOVE canvas art prints! This 20×29″ canvas along with its friends arrived the other day as a little yellow slip at the Post office. I was so excited to get the package home open them up and put them up on my walls. I couldn’t help but to take some photos of it. The beauty of canvas is that they are ready to hang, no framing required! I also love that they have a beautiful texture to them, and that the edges can be bordered with a solid color or have the image wrapped around the edge.
And great news from my awesome canvas vendor, who is offering a huge holiday sale! I am passing this sale on to you, and it’s a great savings – 10%-20% off!
If you would like to purchase a canvas from a past session, or would like to pre-purchase a canvas for your booked session, please contact me ASAP because the sale ends on November 28th!!
Visit www.footstep-photography.com for more information on ordering a canvas print or send me an email.

Take 1, Take 2 Take 3.... Moment captured FootSteps Photography Okinawa
I love it when the true personality of my clients come through into there photographs. Which is it? Take 1, 2, 3, or even 4?? Who knows maybe a little of all of them. Whichever it is, it represents them as a family with a little of the sillies mixed in.
Then there are times when you find out the REAL reason for a facial expression captured was really the younger brother letting on rip onto the older brother. And then you just have to laugh at the expressions.
I love my clients. They are all so much fun to work with and share in your family moments. Throughout these past few months of the holiday photo season I have came to a realization. My absolute favorite style of family and portrait photography is that of a photo journalistic style where the photos in a series tell a story rather. So when displaying your images rather than just one large photo on the wall you have a series of them.
