I've Moved!!! - FootSteps Photography Okinawa

It has been about 1 month since FootSteps Photography Moved. Well the move was not vary far just from on-base to an off-base place. This is something that our family had been wanting to do for quite some time but never found the time. Well we made time, cleared calendars, gathered boxes and Moved. It was just in time too because shortly after we started looking the housing office on Okinawa had a new rule in effect that after August 1st no one else would be allowed to move off base. Whew! I am glad we made it. After looking at literately more than 2 dozen houses we found the one that was perfect for us.

The front of our new house named the Takara House. The studio is located about 10 minutes from Kadena's Gate 3 and about 10 minutes from McT and Courtney. Via the expressway it only takes 20 minutes from Camp Hanson.

The studio is up and running as you can see from the beautiful little model saying "Tada". Located within eye shot of the indoor studio is several other mini locations.

Studio sessions are not limited to strictly inside the studio. If you would like to step outside the door you have other options to explore. Located within a minutes walk.

Just a couple more to finish this post off. She is so excited for you to be able to see the new house and studio.

Williams Family and Photo Intaglio - FootSteps Photography Okinawa

I have the best clients. Thanks to all of you. For without you, I would not have the wonderful clients like the Williams family. I met this photogenic family through a prior client who had recently had her daughters photos done. It was such a fun sunset session with all of you. I don't think you could have taken a bad photo if you tried.

I love the texture mixed with the bright blue sky mixed with colors of the setting sun.

Such an emotional kiss.
I was so lucky to have to opportunity to photograph two teens who are models.

Things just fell into place perfectly with this shot while we were all sitting down talking before moving up the beach.

Two beautiful girl

Sometimes I just get into my printmaking days where I focused photo intaglio manipulated with texture. This reminds me of the look they have when printed.
Wondering what Photo Intaglio looks like? Here is photography of my print "Lucky Two" done in a photo intaglio. Image taken in Biloxi Mississippi. If anyone on Okinawa knows of a place that has a press please let me know I would love to get back into this art form and do some prints from around Okinawa.

Osage Clayworks - FootSteps Photography Okinawa

Osage Clayworks is a beautiful old store located in downtown Osage Arkansas. I had the pleasure of photographing several pottery arrangements and the old Historical Stamps Store while visiting family back home. Also got a few of the owner and his sweet shop dogs.

The Historical Stamps store built circa 1901.

Beautiful handmade pottery. These pieces almost did not make it back to the store but fell into my suitcase for quick transport back to Okinawa. Just kidding. They are beautiful.

I love the color, texture of the handle and shape of this teapot. Even-though I don't drink tea myself I wanted to start a tea pot collection after seeing this teapot. For more of Osage Clayworks work of to purchase one of your own. Visit http://www.osageclayworks.com

Blog do you check? - FootSteps Photography Okinawa

Yep I did it again. I just get so busy that I forget to upload photos to this blog. But is anyone really reading it? If you are reading it please leave me a comment and let me know that you would like for me to continue with the blog updates. It seems senseless to upload the same photos to 4 different places. Do you blog or do you Myspace? Let me know. Now onto the photos....
